Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-06-11
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ContextFetch (the "Service"), including our browser extension and the web application at contextfetch.io. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
ContextFetch is a browser extension and web application that produces structured, AI-generated company briefings from the content of a web page you choose to analyze. The Service is provided on an "as-is" basis and is intended for professional, business-to-business research.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password and any session tokens issued to your devices confidential.
- You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized access to your account.
- Accounts are for a single person; you may not share login credentials.
4. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service to access or analyze any page in a manner that violates that website's terms of service, its access controls, or applicable law.
- Run briefings on pages containing other people's private, confidential, or personal account information that you are not authorized to process.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the Service's source code, models, or non-public components.
- Send requests at a volume or rate intended to disrupt other users or our infrastructure, or attempt to circumvent quotas or security controls.
- Use the Service to generate content that defames, harasses, or violates the privacy or rights of identifiable individuals.
- Use the Service to produce regulated advice (including financial, legal, or medical advice) or in any way that creates legal or regulatory liability for us.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service, and your decision to analyze any particular page, complies with all laws and third-party terms that apply to you.
5. AI-generated content
Briefings are generated by large language models based on the page content you submit and publicly available news. AI output can be incomplete or inaccurate and may misstate facts. Briefings are for research assistance only and are not professional advice. You are solely responsible for independently verifying any fact before relying on or acting on it, and we disclaim liability for decisions made on the basis of a briefing.
6. Plans, billing and payment
ContextFetch offers a free plan and paid subscription plans (currently Solo and Pro). The features and usage limits of each plan are described on our Pricing page. We may change plan features, limits, or prices going forward; we will give existing subscribers reasonable notice of a price increase or a material reduction in what their plan includes, and any such change takes effect from your next billing period.
Paid plans are recurring subscriptions billed in advance in US dollars, monthly or annually, and renew automatically until cancelled. Our order process and all payments are handled by our reseller Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), which is the Merchant of Record for every purchase; your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Cancellations, automatic renewals, and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
7. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not commit to a specific uptime guarantee on the free tier. The Service depends on third-party providers (such as AI model and news providers) whose availability is outside our control.
8. Intellectual property
The ContextFetch name, logo, and software are our property or that of our licensors. Briefings produced from your requests are yours to use for your internal business purposes. We may use aggregated and de-identified data to operate and improve the Service.
9. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how we use it. Where applicable, your use of the extension is also subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy and the policies of the store from which you installed the extension.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time by emailing support@contextfetch.io. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT BRIEFINGS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR ERROR-FREE.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR (B) USD $50.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ContextFetch is operated, without reference to its conflict-of-laws principles.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page and, where appropriate, by email. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
