Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-11
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how billing, cancellations, and refunds work for paid ContextFetch subscriptions purchased through our website at contextfetch.io. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.
1. Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"). Paddle is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle handles payment, billing, invoicing, sales tax/VAT, and refunds on our behalf, and provides billing-related customer service. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms.
2. Subscriptions and billing
Our paid plans (Solo and Pro) are recurring subscriptions billed in advance in US dollars (USD), either monthly or annually depending on the option you choose at checkout. Plan prices and what each plan includes are shown on our Pricing page. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for that plan, until you cancel. Paddle emails you a receipt for every payment.
3. Cancellation
You can cancel a paid subscription at any time — from within your ContextFetch account, by using the link in your Paddle receipt email, or by emailing support@contextfetch.io. There are no cancellation fees. When you cancel:
- Your paid plan stays active until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
- At the end of that period it does not renew, no further charge is taken, and your account moves to the Free plan.
- Cancelling stops future renewals; on its own it does not refund the period you are currently in (see section 4).
4. Refund requests
You may request a refund of your first payment within 7 days of your initial purchase of a paid plan. Because paid plans include AI research (such as Deep verified researches) that consumes real computing resources the moment you run it, we review each request individually and may decline it where your account usage shows the plan was already substantially used during that period. To request a refund, email support@contextfetch.io from your account email within 7 days of the charge. Where we approve a refund, it is processed through Paddle to your original payment method.
5. Renewal charges
Payments after your first billing period (i.e. automatic renewals) are generally non-refundable, because you can cancel at any time before a renewal to avoid the next charge. As a courtesy, if you were charged for a renewal you did not intend and you contact us within 7 days of that charge, and you have not made significant use of the Service during the new period, we will review your request and may issue a refund at our discretion.
6. Charges we always refund
Regardless of the timeframes above, we will always refund duplicate or accidental charges, charges caused by a billing error, and any charge where a refund is required by applicable consumer-protection law.
7. How to request a refund
Email support@contextfetch.io from the email address on your account and include the Paddle order or receipt number from your confirmation email. Once approved, refunds are processed by Paddle to your original payment method, normally within 5–10 business days (your bank or card issuer may take additional time to post the credit).
8. Consumer rights (EU / UK)
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital services within 14 days. Where you ask us to begin providing the Service immediately, you may lose that statutory withdrawal right once the Service has been fully performed — but you may still ask us for a refund under section 4, which we consider on the discretionary basis described there. Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you have under the consumer law that applies to you.
9. Chargebacks
If something is wrong with a charge, please contact support@contextfetch.io first — we can almost always resolve it faster than a bank dispute. Opening a chargeback or payment dispute may lead to your account being suspended while the matter is investigated.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. The version in effect when you make a purchase governs that purchase.
